Sweet n' Smoky Pistachios

When I was grocery shopping the other day, I strolled down the nut aisle. I spotted some honey bbq pistachios that were seriously calling my name. But alas (I should've known better), the ingredients were less than desirable! So naturally, I had to devise my own!


Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp. butter (or coconut oil)

  • 2 cups shelled, raw pistachios

  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp. sweet paprika

  • 1/2 tsp. smoked seasoned salt (or just sea salt)

  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  • 3 tsp. Golden Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener

  1. Mix all seasonings and sweetener in a small bowl.

  2. Melt the butter in a saute pan.

  3. Add the pistachios. Stir to coat.

  4. Sprinkle seasoning mixture on top of nuts and stir until well combined.

  5. Toast the nuts on medium low heat for about 3-5 minutes, stirring often to avoid burning.

  6. Let cool on paper towel.

  7. Store in an airtight container.
