Adaptations I made:
I used a mix of frozen berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries)
1 added 1 tsp. of almond extract to the dough
I topped with fresh whipped cream and slivered almonds
You can make homemade whipped cream by beating heavy whipping cream for a few minutes
